I’m Tash — a thirty-something (let’s not mention it again) Scottish woman, gently stepping out of the corporate and safeguarding world to do something for me. And for you.

I’ve spent my career giving back: working in charities, supporting survivors of VAWG, and walking alongside adults navigating systems that weren’t built to help them. Through MEAM and trauma-informed care, I’ve seen the strength it takes to survive — and it’s that strength that gave me the courage to start Thistle and Tails.

Animals have always been my constant. From childhood cats, rabbits, gerbils, and budgies to growing up with German Shepherds and Scottish Deerhounds — and now my own cats, Charlie and Luna (yes, they’re in the logo). Pets calm my mind, ease my anxiety, and brighten my day — just like they do yours.

Thistle and Tails is my way of giving back differently.

Whether it’s a one-hour walk, a drop-in, or a full move-in sit, your pets become my family. Anxious dog? I love them. Big dog? Bring it on. Cuddle monster? Absolutely down for that.

My background in trauma, mental health first aid, and suicide intervention gives me a skillset most don’t have: crisis management, empathy, patience, active listening, and the ability to notice what’s not said. I bring all of that into my care — quietly, respectfully, and with love.

This is pet care with heart. Boutique, personal, and built on trust.
